Cephas Rock has been engaged to perform visual and invasive inspection of minimum 5000 buildings (to-date) to identify any damage(s), direct or consequential, caused by trees roots, water, clay soil, leaks, drainage issues and earthquake events. We also provided a qualitative report on the structural implications of any damage(s) observed and advice on suitable repair methods.
21 Newlands Crescent, Doncaster East
Cephas Rock / Joshua Wong was involved in the entire project management and structural assessment which determined if a wall was a load bearing wall prior to its removal. The works carried out to the house were a partial kitchen rebuild, floor retiling, floor recarpeting, repainting, new window coverings, garage upgrading, and new bathrooms/toilet.
Joshua Wong closely monitored the quality and the progress. He collaborated with the all the main and sub-contractors to bring out the best outcome. He’s ability to look at all the details and take everything seriously assisted the smooth running of the project, and avoided a lot of mistakes.
The result was remarkable and very satisfying.

Major Hornbrook Road, Mt Pleasant
We were the nominated structural engineers for the project. This involved specifically structurally designed block retaining walls, and engineered steel structures to support the floor and deck.

Detailed Structural Assessment and Seismic strengthening for a 2 storey precast panel building by installation of series of steel cross bracing elements. Highlight of the design – worked with constraint of spaces and time also consideration of the aesthetic aspect of the bracing elements.

Cephas Rock was engaged by the homeowner to provide full structural design, drawings, and documentation for this renovation and extension project. The design highlights include a steep site and a cost-effective structural solution. The project was designed by Paul Wu and Luke Wong and was considered a great success.
